Law & Order: Silence Under V for Vendetta

Page one

The detective couldn't wait for Dr. Huang as he circled his perp he liked . Not like-liked, but actually didn't like. Brawned up to intimidate and angry as a rabid badger, the catholic in Elliot cursed latin at the masked man in black sitting at the metal table as if waiting patiently for tea and scones. There was something wrong with a guy that wore a Halloween mask when it wasn't Halloween. Elliot's muscles bulged through his shirt that was about to pop the top button or two as he gritted his teeth against what would be yet another proclamation of innocence.
A crisp english accent, well spoken, words a veritable treasure trove of articulation, this guy could be another jack the ripper, of which so many waiting for their zombie apocalypse seem astonishingly fond of.
"I say, I tell you honestly, I truly am the witness, here. There was a white van parked in the alley behind the department store. A tall man with chin length blonde hair was holding an unclothed manican with the arm that had a cast on it, bent at the elbow and attatched to his side. He seemed to be having a hard time trying to load the plastic person into his van as another man in a black fur trench coat and bright red furry derby hat approached him, offering the procurement of living flesh over plastic as that would serve him much better-"
"ENOUGH!" Elliot slammed his hand on the desk. "We know you did it! I don't want to hear another word out of you unless it's that confession!" Elliot slid a pen and paper forward.
The masked man's smiling mask could not hide/mask his own inner mirth the mask revealed in it's smiling countenance at the thought of writing an I.O.U. The debt to find the real killer, then the name he went by, Guy Fawkes.
Of course, there were similarities between the United Kingdom and the.United States that were at total odd opposites. So that would not be humorous, as misunderstandings go..
The time was almost up for how long they could hold this guy.. As Olivia watched through the two way mirror, she wondered what this guy looked like and why they hadn't confiscated the mask. Most suspects would've been stuttering their american slang of denials. The"duh," at first, even when caught red handed. But they always confessed within half their alotted time.
This Guy was sticking to his story.
Elliot inhaled deeply, preparing to unleash his irrepressible catholic rage that seems to alw come from out of the blue. "Alright, take me through this again . Your name..."
"Guy Fawkes."
"Where'd you get the books?"
"From a 99 cent store."
"All of them? You took them all?" Elliot sounded disbelieving, still.
"Yes, all 3 books were being thrown away. I had to rescue them or not only would their feelings be hurt but their lives would be lost."
Elliot gave the mask wearer a disbelieving glance before looking to the mirror. "I see."
The crisp english accent countered, "I think not." Then he abruptly stood, turned towards the window that was only lollipop glass with no bars. Then this Guy Fawkes acrobatically leapt through that lollipop window to his artful and sticky escape, leaving both Olivia and Elliot gaping. (to be continued...)

CLOVERFIELD TWO: Page 1

(Do I really need to state that obviously, these are not my own characters and I'm not making any money off of these ideas...) Jason was airborne in the swish of that giant tail, limb or whatever it was that came down before him on the bridge. The fright of knowing that a giant foot could send him to the bottom of the river, or a steel beam, cement, cables could do him the mortal damage that such a deadly fall might fail to accomplish. He'd be surprised if this experience didn't turn his short blonde hair totally white, if he did indeed survive. Such a long way down, seconds were centuries. When he finally hit the water, OH, that HURT! He realized he'd been flailing in the air and every part of his body would be sure to be bruised, if not broken from the water impact, unless he was really falling against cement, other bodies or whatever. The noise all around was thunderous, as if he'd been struck by a dozen heavy lightning bolts. It was so dark. The splashings of debris and people were as bombs whooshing around him. He could feel what he couldn't hear as he sank, air squeezing out of him in that cold water as his numbed body finally kicked back to life, the awareness of that need for survival. And oxygen. He couldn't leave Lilly, not like this! It was the hardest struggle of his life. Reaching the surface, he almost wasn't sure, then a helicopter's light against the night sky gave that telling breeze against Jason's stinging face. He'd reached the surface! He couldn't hear anything but a low rumbling because of all that noise in the bridge stomping of a giant bald mutant sloth... (not me). Though somehow, he knew his hearing would return. He hoped. Surely, the lack of hearing would not last. At least he was still alive and had his sight. What was left of the distant city lights of New York were beautiful but seemed so far away as some bodies floated up near him. Jason began to worry about sharks as he eased himself to a tired doggy paddle swim in the rough waves that were still plunking with bits of bridge. Jason hoped his brother Rob would step up and get Lilly, Hud and Marlena, if only Beth was with them to keep Rob from panicking and running straight towards this strange giant bald mutant sloth... (not me) but hopefully she was safe, wherever she was on this godforsaken night. What a terrible end to a horrible party. Thanks Rob, for making it awkward when everyone still might die before this tragedy is over. Aahhh, Jason looked towards the Statue of Liberty expecting a boost of energy and raised spirits not the worn off buzz from beer that was long gone, that everything would be alright. Oh, right. That statue standing tall and proud stll, if slightly bent with slobbery scratches, was missing its head. This was really happening? It seems like a horror, monster movie. There were others yet alive around him, people swimming around and over dead bodies and in circles. Some were trying to use bodies as floatation devices and sinking in panic. A few people were grabbing at eachother to drown togetheror the nearest swimmer and succeeding in sinking them both or the small groups they'd formed. Seemed they were all using the light of the city and overhead helicopters as weapons against eachother. Jason inadvertently became the water, not making any sweeping motions with his entire being. Only his head bobbed like one of the corpses moving with the current and against it. Not drawing attention to himself, he was just another non-living piece of debris in the cluttered waves. He would make it, because I want Jason to live... (to be continued.)
